Happy Day!

Checking it out
This fall has been very busy. We moved...
So that has really taken up some time and energy and writing just has not been on the top of my mind.
So I was thinking about how much Joel has changed since I last wrote.
First of all he is really trying to talk. So far his favorite work by far is LIGHT. He points to any light on or off and exclaims, "Light!"

He also says block, baby, Dada (to lots of thing, not just Da Da!) and he roars like a Tiger.
More impressive to me though is that he seems to understand so much. I will say, "lets go take a bath," and he heads off the the bathroom. I can ask him to hand me a book and he will find one.
It is still just so amazing to me how fast they learn so much about the world.
Since I last wrote, we also had a few adventures. The biggest adventure was attending Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF) with two other families. It was a blast to have 6 adults and 5 little boys enjoying the arts, music, and good times 3 days and 2 nights. This was the first camping experience for Joel as well. Part that was somewhat difficult was the weather. It sleeted and was cold most of the weekend. Not what I would have ordered, but we bundled up and stayed warm and dry.
We also journeyed to the top of Mt. Mitchell. It was a nice drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway.
In both of these adventures, Joel was very interested in rocks. Picking them up, arranging them, feeling them, even trying to eat them....
I have this habit of picking up rocks from different places I visit. I have an odd collection from all over the world. Maybe he will have the same interest.
Joel is also now very interested in doing what I am doing. So the other day he even helped rack the yard.
That is just an attempt to catch up on my lack of writing for a while to look at some of our major adventures.
